About me
Hello all! I am an English teacher at Paulding County High School. I am originally from Georgia; however, I have lived in many towns. I have two cats named Moja and Toussaint. I love experiencing new cultures, learning about people, and going on adventures of any kind. If I am not in my classroom, then I am more than likely in a museum, reading, traveling, hanging with good people, enjoying nature, or researching where to find good eats.
I graduated from the University of West Georgia. Go Wolves! As a Literature Major at UWG, I began to fully appreciate the social commentary that literature provides us with and I felt that I would have greatly appreciated knowing the importance of reading as a high school student, which is why I became a high school teacher. My goal is to help my students move from being Local thinkers to being Global thinkers. This only happens when we open our minds to others' journeys and experiences and are educated about various cultures. The world could use more analytical-minded citizens.
